Pentagon refused to evacuate virus-infected aircraft carrier crew
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The Pentagon will not evacuate personnel from the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt, where more than 70 crew members have already become infected with the coronavirus.

The head of the Pentagon said that the authorities provided the staff with a lot of medical supplies and assured that if necessary, doctors would be additionally sent to the Navy base on the island of Guam, where the aircraft carrier is now located.
According to Esper, while among the crew “there are no those who would be seriously ill.” At the same time, the ship’s captain sent a letter to the Ministry, in which he asked the authorities to immediately evacuate the military personnel.
“No one, of course, should die. At this moment we are not at war. Our number one task is to take care of the health of the military personnel and their families.” – Pentagon Head Mark Esper said.
