US stock trading closed with lower indices (again)
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Key indices fell on Wednesday following the trading session on the New York Stock Exchange.
According to the data posted on the site of the trading floor, the American industrial index Dow Jones fell by 973.65 points (4.44%) and stopped at around 20 943.51 points.
The S&P 500 index, which includes the 500 largest companies in the US market, lost 114.09 points (4.41%) and was at the level of 2,470.50 points.
The Nasdaq electronic exchange index fell by 339.52 points (4.41%), to 7 360.58 points.
WTI brand oil has fallen in price. By 16:15, the time of the US East Coast (23:15 Moscow time), the price of energy supplies in May fell by $ 0.54 (2.64%), to $ 21.02.
According to Randy Frederick, vice president of securities trading at Schwab Center, investors are worried that the spread of coronavirus could do more damage to the US economy than previously expected.
