All US stock halted as S&P falls over 7%

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — US stocks halted as S&P 500 plunges more than 7%. The circuit breaker will halt trading across the U.S. exchange for 15 minutes.

Trading on US exchanges suspended after the fall of major indices by 7%, according to trading data.

As of 02/20 UTC, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index fell by 7.82%, to 19576.75 points, the index of high-tech companies NASDAQ – by 6.3%, to 6872.71 points, the broad market index S&P 500 – by 6.97%, up to 2352.8 points.
