Trump says creation of US coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — US President Donald Trump said May 3 that the United States intends to develop a vaccine against coronavirus by the end of 2020.

“I think we will get the vaccine by the end of this year. We are actively working on this,” he told Fox News reporters.

At the same time, Trump emphasized that he was not worried about the risks that volunteers who tested the substances might face, because “they knew what they were doing.”

On the eve it became known that American scientists are testing 14 potential vaccines against coronavirus infection. In addition, the United States authorities intend to start vaccination at the beginning of next year.

In April, in Seattle, an experimental coronavirus vaccine was first introduced to a volunteer, 44-year-old Jennifer Haller. According to her, she did not even realize that she was taking risks by agreeing to an experiment. The woman said that she really wanted to be useful.
