Trump administration seeks to speed up vaccinations, says Axios

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Donald Trump’s administration will release new directives on Tuesday to speed up the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the United States, reports the Axios website.

These guidelines will include opening up vaccination to all people over 65, says Axios, citing a senior official in the administration.

It will also be a question of expanding the vaccination sites to local health centers and more pharmacies.

Nearly nine million people had received as of Monday a first dose of vaccine against COVID-19 in the United States but public health experts stress that no state has so far used its federal allocations completely in vaccines, this is partly the fault of the rules defining the populations to be vaccinated as a priority.
