Volcanic activity near Sitka volcano, swarm of earthquakes in Iceland

(ORDO NEWS) — Over the past week, several important news related to volcanoes have appeared. In Alaska, the Mount Edgecombe volcano, located near the city of Sitka, produced an unexpected swarm of several hundred earthquakes, indicating the movement of magma at depth.

Meanwhile, in Australia, strong heat signatures have been detected on Heard Island, indicating the possible start of a new eruption.
