US Navy adopts tiny tug
(ORDO NEWS) — The US Navy has recently joined the crumbs-boat , designed to carry out ancillary works on the water.
The adorable little tugboat Ford F-150 blew up social media and earned the nickname “the smallest ship of the US Navy.”
The boat is only 5.8 meters long and is actually a Boomin Beaver security tug. Originally designed for logging on waterways, this boat is a versatile vessel that can tow small ships and install floating safety barriers, ensuring that larger submarines, destroyers and even aircraft carriers avoid unwanted visitors.
The tug first appeared on Reddit earlier this week. Chuck’s Boat and Drive in Longview, Washington made these boats for lumberjacks, and at one point, the US Navy purchased many of these boats for various port operations.
