Snoring nearly doubles the risk of sudden death

(ORDO NEWS) — Experts from the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine (USA) conducted a study during which they found that people diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea are at risk and may die suddenly. It is worth noting that obstructive sleep apnea has become a very common problem lately.

There are over a billion people all over the world who have this diagnosis. This is reported by Medical New Today.

Apnea stands for “no breathing.” With an obstructive form of pathology, there is a partial or complete blockage of the air flow. This condition occurs during sleep.

The disease can manifest itself in different ways. Some people are constantly sleepy, get tired quickly, have poor quality sleep, or snore. Such signs can not only significantly spoil the quality of life. They have quite serious consequences for the whole organism.

Experts have studied the previous studies and combined the results. They found that the risk of sudden death during sleep in people diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea is almost twice as high as in everyone else. In addition, the risk of developing all sorts of problems with the cardiovascular system increases.

With age, the situation will become more and more serious, so you cannot ignore the disease and you need to try to eliminate it as soon as possible. Experts note that many patients do not realize how dangerous the pathology is and what fatal outcome it can lead to.
