(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists warn that there are foods that increase the risk of premature death. It is better to refuse their use and to review your diet altogether.

Scientists call products with a high degree of processing the most dangerous for human health . Researchers from the University of São Paulo have published an entire scientific paper about this.

Since 2019, they have recorded 57,000 premature deaths in Brazil. People aged 30-70 died. In percentage terms, this is more than 10% of premature deaths in the entire country.

It’s a matter of products, experts are sure. They contribute to the development of diseases of the cardiovascular system. This is the main factor why people do not live to old age.

Ultra-processed products contain a huge amount of artificial additives. The problem is that many people are used to eating it every day:

According to their data, a quarter of Brazilians eat up to 50% of junk food from their daily diet every day. If they reduced consumption by at least 2 times, there would be 20,000 fewer premature deaths every year.

In the US, highly processed foods consume even more, 57% of the daily diet. In this country, the rate of premature death is even higher.
