(ORDO NEWS) — Volcanic activity continues in the Yellowstone National Park. A new report for July this year says that the super volcano danger levels remain normal. The data was published on the US Geological Survey’s web portal.
Aircraft can safely fly over the territory: the day they have a green light. Steamboat, the most active geyser, manifested itself on July 3, 9, 13, 19, 24 and 30, for a total of six eruptions. Over the entire year, steam was emitted 29 times.
Sensors from the University of Utah recorded 47 shocks. The strongest seismic activity was 1.7 points. The epicenter was twelve miles northwest of Tipi Pahask. The earthquake occurred on the third day at 23:56.
There were no earthquake streaks last month. Volcano activity remains at the background level. The caldera continues to sink. Since 2015, GPS devices have been recording subsidence of 3 centimeters per year.
