(ORDO NEWS) — The iPhone 14 is less than six months away, and the new smartphone should be released in the fall of 2022. Bloomberg shared some of the characteristics of the new model.
Externally, the new model will not differ much from the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. The same flat edges and rounded corners, but on the Pro models there will be new notch cutouts: round for the front camera and tablet-shaped for Face ID.
The company will be able to fully integrate Face ID and the camera into the display no sooner than in three to four years.
Apple will get rid of the mini model as it is not selling as well as the company would like. The screen of other models will become larger. There will be four in total:
- iPhone 14 with 6.1 inch screen.
- iPhone 14 Max – with 6.7-inch.
- iPhone 14 Pro – 6.1 inches.
- And the iPhone 14 Pro Max is 6.7 inches.
For the first time, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models will feature a 48MP wide-angle camera and A16 processors. In others, there will be a 12 megapixel camera and A15 processors.
In addition to external updates, Apple is still working on bringing satellite to the iPhone. However, the iPhone will not be able to make calls over satellite networks.
Instead, this feature is for reporting emergencies or sending short text messages to emergency contacts when they are out of cellular coverage.
