Twitter Blue subscription will restart on December 12
(ORDO NEWS) — The sale of the Twitter Blue subscription, which allows accounts to receive a Twitter verification checkmark, will resume on Monday. This was reported on the official page of the social network on Twitter.
We’re relaunching Twitter Blue on Monday, subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to access subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark.
Subscribers will see half as many ads, be able to post longer videos on their page, and get early access to innovations. In addition, Twitter Blue accounts will appear higher in searches, mentions, and comment lists.
Subscribers will be able to change the description, name and profile photo. However, in this case, the verification checkbox will disappear until the page is rechecked.
On October 27, Elon Musk closed a $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter, the owner of the social network of the same name. On November 6, he announced his intention to introduce paid account verification as part of his Twitter Blue subscription. The sale of the subscription on November 10 was suspended due to an increase in the number of fake accounts.
