(ORDO NEWS) — In Pennsylvania (USA), a 15-year-old girl was struck by lightning. At that moment, the girl was in her house, firefighters said.
At least five homes in the Sedona Drive area of North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County were hit by lightning, including the home where a girl was struck.
Circleville fire captain Keith Gray said the lightning passed through the girl’s little toe and exited her left leg.
Giana Scaramuzzo said: “Suddenly I hear a loud sound of thunder and I see lightning. I see it bouncing off my mirror and suddenly I feel pain in my little finger and then it goes through my body and out through my leg.”
The girl said that she received medical attention and everything is fine with her. She said paramedics took her blood pressure, which turned out to be normal, as well as an ECG. The cardiogram was sent to the local hospital.
The Circleville fire chief said at least five homes along Sedona Drive were struck by lightning. One of the houses is damaged and a hole has formed in the roof. Nobody in this house was hurt.
