US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — US Attorney General William Barr directed the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons to send riot control teams to Washington and Miami.
Hosted Rescue, the FBI’s elite anti-terrorist special forces unit, has been sent to Washington to search for US residents who have left their states to participate in protests in other parts of the country.
US President Donald Trump urged governors to more actively arrest arrest law enforcement officials.
Riots in the country began after an African-American George Floyd was killed by police in Minneapolis on May 25.
Approximately 17 thousand national guards were introduced into the cities where protests are taking place. A number of mayors, including Washington’s head Muriel Bowser, have announced a curfew.
