(ORDO NEWS) — Experts are using satellites to track global warming on Earth. Based on the data obtained, scientists have created climate models that show what will happen to the planet when the glaciers melt. The study is published in the Journal of Climate.
It is reported by Futurism.
Global warming is leading to the rapid melting of glaciers. Because of this, the water level in the world‘s oceans rises. The salinity of the seas and oceans is also changing. This will lead to the extinction of many species of fish.
When the glaciers completely melt, all continents will be flooded and the poles will shift. However, scientists are now confident that the consequences could be much worse. The more terrible the catastrophe, the less chances for humanity to survive.
The resulting models do not correspond to the laws of physics, because in nature, air temperature and humidity are closely interconnected with each other. Unfortunately, satellites do not record these indicators. Now scientists are figuring out how far the obtained models do not correspond to reality.
Scientists face a difficult task. To establish which of the models most closely matches reality, it is necessary to carry out a large number of calculations taking into account the new data (temperature / humidity).
