(ORDO NEWS) — Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, sent out an email to employees.
In it, he tried to reassure them that the automaker would eventually become the most valuable company in the world.
The letter comes amid a challenging year for the company. In 2022, its shares fell by 68%, and by 42% in December alone!
The entrepreneur himself partly explained this drop by rising interest rates.
But Musk’s purchase of Twitter also played a role, experts say, and the deal is believed to have wiped out about $675 billion in Tesla’s market capitalization in 2022.
In an email, Musk thanked Tesla employees for their work in 2022 and encouraged them to focus on building as many cars as possible to meet customer demand.
Recall that today the most valuable company on the planet is Apple with a capitalization of more than $ 2 trillion.
