(ORDO NEWS) — The James Webb Space Observatory has discovered a planetary system that contains seven potentially habitable planets. The system is known as TRAPPIST-1 and is 39 light-years from Earth.
It is worth noting that the orbits of all the planets pass closer to the star than the orbit of Mercury to the Sun, but due to the properties of the star, a potentially habitable zone (a region in which liquid water may be present) is formed at such a distance. The size of the habitable zone includes three of the seven planets.
