US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — In the upcoming Windows 10 20H1 update, Microsoft will change the way the file search service works, increasing system performance on low-end computers.
This was reported by Windows Latest with reference to insiders testing the new version of the operating system.
The next major Windows 10 update is expected to be released in May 2020. It will appear a series of changes aimed at improving productivity. In particular, Microsoft will improve system performance when playing videos, as well as change the algorithms of the Windows Search service.
To quickly find files, this service regularly indexes files. Using new algorithms will reduce the load on the processor and the amount of occupied disk space. Another test change is changing the interface for connecting Bluetooth devices and improving the text editor Notepad.
Windows 10 update caused operating system problems
The next update to Windows 10 disrupted the stable operation of operating systems, cutting off the Internet connection. This was reported on March 30 by the iXBT online edition.
According to the journalists of the publication, Microsoft support services began to receive mass calls from users about network connection failures after installing update KB453599. The company confirmed the presence of an error, specifying that it only appears on Windows 10 builds released last year in May and November.
According to the publication, Microsoft is already solving this problem, but the release date of the update that fixes this error is not called. iXBT reports that a workaround is possible if you manually uninstall update KB453599, as it is not required.
Recall that in recent months, updates to the Windows 10 operating systems have been accompanied by serious errors that cause individual malfunctions or complete inoperability of the system with a sharp slowdown in its operation and the appearance of “blue screens of death”.
