(ORDO NEWS) — In Armenia, a burial was found dating back to 1300-1200 BC. The grave contains a man and a woman, who were probably a couple, according to the Nauka w Polsce website.
The burial was found in the ancient city-fortress of Metsamor. The remains are well preserved. It is assumed that people died at the age of 30-40 years.
“Their death is a mystery, because we do not know its causes. But everything points to the fact that they died at the same time, since there are no traces of the re-opening of the tomb, ”said archaeologist Krzysztof Jakubiak.
The tomb is richly furnished. They found hundreds of beads and gold pendants (some of which look like Celtic crosses), carnelian pendants, ceramic vessels and a faience flask.
It is not known what kind of people lived in Metsamor in the second half of the second millennium, so scientists find it difficult to identify the remains.
