US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Web versions of the Gmail email service have redesigned the settings menu structure. Now, by clicking on the gear icon, the side panel will open with quick access to the most popular functions.
From the new panel, for example, you can change the display type of the mailbox and reading area, the design theme and the way letters are sorted. All changes take effect instantly – so users can first visually evaluate the new settings before leaving them.
The full settings menu has not gone away, the Google blog said. To see all the available options, you need to click on the See all settings button at the very top of the new panel.
A new settings menu is already available for some Gmail users. For all, they promise to include it no later than the summer.
Previously, Gmail users had the opportunity to attach one letter to another, without forwarding or pre-downloading.
This method will be convenient, for example, for people who have just connected to group correspondence. Instead of reading long chains of messages, they will be able to immediately get in the course of things, having read only important letters.
