Chinese police issued helmets to automatically measure people’s temperature
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Helmets were issued to Chinese police to automatically measure people’s temperature. They can work at a distance of about two meters.
Such devices have long been used by the police of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The creator of helmets, the Chinese company KC Wearable, declares that European countries are showing interest in their devices.
In addition to the police in China, helmets are used by both medical personnel and transport workers. Thermal imagers are capable of measuring temperature at a distance of about two meters.
In particular, the KC N901 model is equipped with an ARM processor, a display for augmented reality, as well as an infrared camera and an ordinary one. The accuracy of the temperature measurement at the helmet reaches 0.3 degrees Celsius. The received information is stored in the device itself.
Data on the temperature of people in a crowd, for example, can be useful for quickly detecting a potential infected with coronavirus infection. In this case, the device measures the temperature correctly at 96%.
