China to launch its own solar observatory

(ORDO NEWS) — In October this year, China will launch the latest ASO-S (Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory) space observatory, which will study the Sun, magnetic field, flares, coronal mass ejections and other processes associated with the beginning of the activity cycle of our star.

Scientists plan that the observatory will be able to record in detail the process of increasing the number of sunspots and storms of the Sun.

All information collected by the device and software for their analysis will be open and available to users around the world.
