Alligator killed in Florida while holding human body in mouth
(ORDO NEWS) — A four-meter alligator with the body of a dead woman in its mouth was found and “humanely” killed in the US state of Florida.
An eyewitness told CNN that he saw an alligator with a “human torso” in its mouth.
“A 13-foot, 8.5-inch male alligator was humanely killed and removed from the canal. Officers… also recovered the remains of a deceased adult male,” police said.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has not yet released the cause of death of 41-year-old Sabrina Peckham, whose remains were pulled from a canal after a dead alligator was removed from it.
Earlier we reported about a woman has died as a result of an alligator attack in the US state of South Carolina, according to sheriff’s office.
“The alligator was safely removed from the area and the woman’s body was recovered,” CBS reported in a statement from the Beafort County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina.
According to authorities, the attack occurred in the morning while the victim was walking her dog. The woman was 69 years old and a local resident.
