The miner found a huge diamond and got rich
(ORDO NEWS) — A resident of the Indian village of Sarcoma, Panna district, Madhya Pradesh, found a large diamond in the mine of 10.69 carats. This is reported by The Sun.
Anandi Lal Kushwaha, 35, worked in a private mine he rented. On Tuesday, July 21, he discovered a huge 10.69-carat diamond, which is worth about five million rupees.
The stone will be sold at an auction, and the proceeds from its sale will go to Kushwaha, excluding taxes and the auction fee. The miner promised to split the money equally with nine colleagues in the mine. “Through collective efforts over the past six months, we have been able to find such a valuable stone,” he explained.
Kushwaha is going to spend his share of the money on the education of his son and daughter and other family needs.
“One thing I know for sure: I will continue to rent mines,” he said.
