(ORDO NEWS) — A sinkhole up to 15 meters deep suddenly formed in the Turkish province of Konya in the central part of the country.
A funnel with a diameter of 37 meters appeared in a field near the village of Karapinar.
Scientist Fetulla Aryk from the Obruk Research Center noted that it was impossible to establish a connection between this phenomenon and the devastating earthquake in the region, which occurred on February 6 or less strong aftershocks on the 20th.
At the same time, a local resident said that the formation of such craters in that area is not some kind of extraordinary event. This time, his neighbor was unlucky, whose field was damaged.
