NEW YORK, BRONX (ORDO News) — Israeli army announced airstrikes on high-rise buildings in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army said its air force on Saturday struck two high-rise buildings in central Gaza used by Hamas militants.
Earlier, the Israeli army reported that the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on 17 military targets and 4 command centers of the Hamas military wing in the Gaza Strip.
“Israeli Air Force fighters struck military infrastructure in two multi-story buildings used by senior Hamas militants for terrorist activities,” the army said in a press release.
The army noted that Hamas is deliberately placing military installations among residential buildings in Gaza. “Before the strike, the IDF gave advance warning to the building’s residents so they could evacuate,” the army noted.
On Saturday morning, Israel was hit by an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. The press service of the Israeli army said that the radicals launched 3 thousand rockets.
In addition, dozens of militants have infiltrated border areas in southern Israel. The Israeli military is clearing populated areas, and a state of emergency has been declared throughout the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an address to the nation, said that Israel is in a state of war and said that he had ordered a widespread mobilization of reserves. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, at an emergency meeting with a number of officials, emphasized the right of the Palestinian people to self-defense against Israeli troops and settlers.
