(ORDO NEWS) — The Office of Science and Technology Policy of the Executive Office of the President of the United States has proposed three options for cooling the Earth to combat global warming.
These three strategies for combating climate change are the result of a scientific study that lasted for 5 years. The experts who conducted the research also spoke about the risks of each option.
The first option is the spraying of sulfur dioxide aerosol from aircraft in the stratosphere at an altitude of 10-30 km.
This is the easiest way, but the substances that make up the aerosol can interfere with the restoration of the ozone layer and cause acid rain.
The second option is to increase the reflectivity of clouds over the oceans, increasing them with the help of salt. It is assumed that due to the increase in clouds, less sunlight will fall on the Earth.
The third option is the dissipation of cirrus clouds that trap heat on the planet. And if they are thinned, the excess heat will not linger.
