(ORDO NEWS) — The China National Space Administration (CNSA) has published new images taken by the Yutu-2 lunar rover.
The photographs show wheel tracks left by the vehicle, several rocks and a small impact crater on the lunar surface.
The new images were taken after the lunar rover and the Chang’e-4 lander came out of sleep on January 15 and 16, respectively.
Over the previous 50 lunar days of operation, Yutu-2 covered a total of almost 1,455.2 meters.
Originally designed to operate for three months, Yutu-2 has been in operation for more than four years and has sent more than 940.1 gigabytes of scientific data back to Earth to date.
