(ORDO NEWS) — Audi decided to turn its A6 Avant into an electric car and endowed it with impressive performance: 800-volt charging and 700 km of range on a single charge.
`More and more Audi vehicles are getting an electric version, and the A6 Avant is no exception. It will have impressive features.
The A6 Avant e-tron concept is not a slightly modified version of an existing car, but it’s not a fantastic concept for the future either.
Audi explains that “the car’s lines and elegant proportions anticipate future Audi production models and give an idea of how dynamic and elegant a luxury electric car will look.”
What will be the Audi A6 Avant e-tron
As with last year’s A6 e-tron sportback sedan concept, the Avant e-tron’s profile is aerodynamically precise, reducing the drag coefficient to 0.24.
The car seems to narrow as it moves from front to rear, its roofline slowly but noticeably lowering into a spoiler-style D-pillar while side recesses draw the sides in. Attached to the spoiler is a striking rear diffuser that regulates the flow of air around the rear of the body.
OLED and LED technologies are widely used in the A6 Avant e-tron, and there are more projectors in the interior of the car than in a small cinema.
Three small high-definition LED projectors on each side create a unique atmosphere by greeting the driver and passengers with personalized messages when the doors are opened.
While driving, these projectors send warnings to other road users on the street, and a separate set of four high-definition projectors at the corners do the same for the turn signals.
When back in the parking lot, Audi’s digital matrix LED headlights can also act as projectors, projecting images onto the wall so users can play games.
Audi announced its charging standard in the new model by filling the underbody of the Avant e-tron with a 100kWh battery pack that spans the wheelbase.
This battery powers the 477 hp front and rear engines. from. (350 kW) and provides 700 km of run. In addition, the 800-V PPE architecture supports charging rates of up to 270kW, which Audi estimates can achieve a 300km range in about 10 minutes, and in less than 25 minutes, the charge will go from 5 percent to 80 percent.
