Archaeologists discover more than 20 ancient tombs in China
(ORDO NEWS) — Archaeologists have discovered more than 20 ancient burials in the Chinese city of Changsha (Hunan Province, Central China), dating back to the time of the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC – 25 AD).
According to archaeologists, most of the graves could be located on the territory of the ancient royal tomb.
They are located in close proximity to each other and may have served as family burials.
A unique two-level tomb was also found, which, according to the researchers, is a rarity for the region.
In total, during the excavations, 234 funerary objects were found, most of which were pottery.
