(ORDO NEWS) — Apple is developing a new Advanced Data Protection data encryption system to provide enhanced protection for information stored in the iCloud cloud service.
The data will be protected so that even the company itself will not be able to read or somehow inspect user data on the “clouds”.
This will allow you to safely store information in the service even if Apple servers are hacked. This level of protection will be achieved due to the fact that one of the encryption keys will be created and stored on the user’s device.
In this case, encryption will not affect email, contacts and calendar. The new encryption system will be available to US users by the end of this year.
