11 students fainted at school after playing with a Ouija board

(ORDO NEWS) — A group of children in Colombia passed out at school after using a Ouija board – an unusually horrifying incident.

Teachers said at least 11 children aged between 13 and 17 were found unconscious in the hallway and five students were sent to the hospital.

According to The Independent, the teens were suffering from severe vomiting, abdominal pain and muscle spasms when they were rushed to Manuela Beltran Hospital.

At this time, the school administration has not provided authorities with details of the incident pending a decision on the case.

“The children lost consciousness; when they were found, they were short of breath, and thick saliva flowed from their mouths,” said José Pablo Tolosa Rondon, mayor of the city of Hato.

“It’s possible it was a Ouija board; that’s part of the investigation.” He added: “Others say they drank water from a container, others say they came from the pool and were given something to eat.”

“We went to El Hato and found 11 patients aged 13 to 17 with vomiting, abdominal pain and muscle spasms,” said Juan Pablo Vargas Noguera, emergency care coordinator at Hospital del Socorro.

“We found no psychological changes in the children, given that it was said that this came from playing the Ouija board.” The medical report says it was due to food poisoning,” he added.
