(ORDO NEWS) — According to the War Zone portal, the United States plans to accept 200 sixth-generation stealth fighters created under the Next-Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program into the Air Force (Air Force).
Together with the 1,000 unmanned combat escort fighters being developed under the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program, as well as 300 fifth-generation F-35 fighters, they will form the basis of the future US Air Force fleet.
However, so far not a single version of the sixth generation fighter has been produced in the United States, only a prototype of the first flight model of a promising aircraft has been built as part of the NGAD program.
It is also reported that the flight of the first serial combat stealth fighter of the sixth generation is planned to be completed no earlier than 2030.
