Scientists have created an unusual drone that flies, swims and dives

(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists have presented a drone that can fly, swim, and dive under water.

The drone was named TJ-FlyingFish. The development was demonstrated in early February by specialists from the Shanghai Research Institute of Intelligent Autonomous Systems of China, Tongji University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The drone consists of a domed main module, to which four rods with motor-propeller units are connected.

Its weight is a little less than 2 kilograms. The device is capable of diving to a depth of 3 meters, while moving at a speed of 2 meters per second.

Experts continue to work on the drone.
