NEW YORK, BRONX (ORDO News) — The Russian Aerospace Forces attacked militant targets in Syria, killing 10 militants, a mobile multiple launch rocket system on a pickup truck, five attack drones, hitting two control posts and two underground shelters of illegal armed groups, as well as five weapons warehouses, the deputy head said at a briefing Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic (CPVS) Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.
Militants of radical formations operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone do not stop trying to attack targets in territory controlled by the Syrian government using homemade unmanned aerial vehicles and modified multiple launch rocket systems.
“In order to suppress such attempts, yesterday the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out high-precision strikes on targets of illegal armed groups in the Idlib de-escalation zone. As a result of the strikes, a mobile multiple launch rocket system on a pickup truck and five attack unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed.”
“Two control points and two underground shelters of illegal armed groups were hit. armed formations, five warehouses with weapons and ammunition. More than 10 militants were eliminated,” the report says.
He added that over the past 24 hours in the Idlib de-escalation zone, eight shellings of positions of Syrian government troops by the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra* were recorded: in the province of Aleppo – two shellings, in the province of Latakia – one shelling, in the province of Idlib – five shellings. As a result, two Syrian soldiers were injured.
