REPEATING alien signals are coming from the center of the Milky Way

(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists looking for signs of extraterrestrial intelligence have decided to pay attention to the center of the Milky Way. That’s where the repeating signals come from, and perhaps representatives of an extraterrestrial civilization want to draw attention to themselves. This is reported by Live Science.

To detect possible extraterrestrial intelligent life, scientists from Connell University in the US consider it necessary to listen to radio signals emanating from the center of our galaxy.

These narrow-frequency signals emitted by pulsars (special types of neutron stars) are also used by humans, for example in radars. Scientists believe that such radio signals can be an effective way to communicate over long distances in space, because they stand out from the rest of the radio noise.

To analyze such radio signals, researchers have created special software. They tested its performance on known pulsars to make sure the signals could be picked up. These radio signals have very narrow frequency bands that are about one-tenth the frequency width used by FM radio stations.

Scientists believe that listening to radio signals will help reveal their possible artificial origin. Thus, it is theoretically possible to discover an extraterrestrial intelligent civilization in our galaxy, perhaps not even limited to one.

The center of the Milky Way is characterized by a huge concentration of stars, around some of which potentially inhabited planets may orbit. Scientists believe that if aliens want to communicate with other intelligent species, they can send special signals throughout the galaxy.
