(ORDO NEWS) — A group of scientists from the Czech Republic has developed a new drug called Pluvicto. It has been reported to successfully treat advanced prostate cancer.
The success of the development is also confirmed by the fact that the European Commission approved the use of the drug. It will act as a solution for patients with advanced tumors not responding to other therapies.
According to the researchers, Pluvicto was tested in clinical trials on volunteers at the Clinic for Nuclear Medicine at the Olomouc Faculty Hospital. At the same time, the exact date of its widespread use is still unknown.
Recall that earlier, in November, researchers from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California discovered a small molecule compound called HA15. It proved to be extremely effective not only in the treatment of COVID-19, but also in the fight against cancer.
