(ORDO NEWS) — The US military has published its annual report on unidentified aerial phenomena. In total, during 2022, 510 UFOs were recorded, of which 171 could not be identified.
The Pentagon’s Office of the Director of National Intelligence has released the unclassified portion of the 2022 report.
Most of the information about unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAEs) came from the country’s Navy and Air Force.
Of the 510 UFOs or NVUs mentioned, 26 were identified as drones, 163 were simply balloons, and another six were described in the report as random natural phenomena, that is, for example, birds and plastic bags lifted by air currents.
In total, 171 phenomena could not be identified in any way. Some of them at the same time demonstrated unusual flight characteristics.
True, a significant part of these messages can be attributed to errors of observers or problems with the operation of the equipment.
