Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $430,930,711 fixed-price contract for full-scale production of HIMARS MLRS and support services to meet urgent support needs for the U.S. Army and various overseas partners.

Created on the basis of a three-axle wheeled chassis FMTV of the US Army, it can carry six rockets or one ATACMS operational-tactical ballistic missile, the effective firing range for certain types of ammunition is up to 80 kilometers.
