(ORDO NEWS) — Astrophysicist Kathleen E. Mandt has published another scientific paper calling on the agency to build and launch a new research probe designed to explore the “mysteries of the Uranian system.”
Mandt believes that the study of Uranus, which is an ice giant, could help in the study of exoplanets.
It turns out that mysterious planets like Uranus are among the most common in the universe, according to recent research.
The astrophysicist proposes to create a spacecraft as soon as possible, which will consist of two vehicles – an orbital (for studying the planet and its satellites from space), and a probe that will descend into the atmosphere of Uranus.
Such a race is due to the fact that to send a probe to study Uranus and its satellites by 2032.
