NEW YORK, BRONX (ORDO News) — Especially for Windows 11 users, Microsoft has prepared a surprise in the form of an interesting mini-game that can be launched during installation of the operating system. Journalists from The Verge were the first to discover this.
According to the portal’s editor Tom Warren, he discovered this exciting update while he was setting up his new Surface Laptop Studio 2. During the OS installation process, a surfer-themed mini-game appeared on the screen to help users pass the time.
The journalist noted that the gameplay of this mini-game is reminiscent of SkiFree, a popular game Microsoft added to the Edge browser back in 2020. This distinctive retro style and nostalgic memories associated with the game SkiFree made this mini-game a real “hidden easter egg” for Windows 11 users.
However, there remains a slight mystery as to whether this mini-game is available when installing Windows 11 on any device, or whether it is exclusive to the branded Surface computers. Warren tried to get official comment from Microsoft, but at the time of writing, no response had been received.
Windows 11 users can expect this exciting addition to make the operating system installation process even more interesting and fun even when first using the OS.
