NEW YORK, BRONX (ORDO News) — In Kenya, thieves who robbed a woman encountered something mysterious: a swarm of bees followed them to a police station until the thieves returned the stolen goods.
The story happened on September 27 when two women stole 100,000 Kenyan shillings ($700) from another woman. This happened on a bus heading to the city of Kitengela. The victim initially contacted the police, but later decided to seek help from a local healer.
The healer apparently decided to use an unusual means to return the stolen money – bees. And apparently it worked. A swarm of bees flew towards the two attackers, enveloping them in thousands of bees. Passers-by were amazed by this spectacle. Women walked around with bees on their faces, attracting the attention of local residents.
The thieves initially tried to get the money back by going to the victim’s home, but then they contacted the police and returned the stolen funds.
Then the story took an even more unusual turn. The bees reportedly flew away immediately after the money was returned.
“I have never seen anything like this and I have never believed in anything like this, but it happened,” said Kitengela police station commander David Shani.
The police said they wanted to look into the matter thoroughly, so the women were locked in a cell.
