(ORDO NEWS) — Chinese automaker XPeng has unveiled the fastest-charging electric vehicle, the G9, which is capable of connecting to a 480kW DC charger.
The manufacturer notes that the G9 model is equipped with a completely new powertrain system built on China‘s first 800V silicon carbide (SiC) mass production platform.
It is claimed that this charging station charges the Xpeng G9 from 10% to 80% in 15 minutes.
By 2025, Xpeng plans to open a total of two thousand of its own charging stations across China, building on Tesla’s experience.
If you liked the Xpeng G9, then it will cost, depending on the configuration, from 2.53 to 3.83 million rubles, and the first deliveries are expected in October 2022.
