(ORDO NEWS) — Madrid-based company Halo Space flew an unmanned prototype of its stratospheric balloon for 4 hours and 10 minutes before it landed safely in a given area.
The ball was able to rise to a height of 37 kilometers. A second test flight is already scheduled for mid-2023.
Halo Space plans to launch passenger flights in space from 2025. A ticket on board will cost $ 200,000.
Commercial flights will take place in a stylish round capsule, inside which will be eight passengers and a pilot.
It will be possible to admire the view of the Earth through panoramic windows with a 360-degree view.
