Juno will receive detailed images of the surface of Europa on September 29

(ORDO NEWS) — On September 29, 2022, NASA’s Juno spacecraft will pass just 358 kilometers from the surface of Jupiter’s icy moon Europa.

It is expected that during the flight the probe will receive the most detailed images of Europa, as well as collect valuable information about its interior, ionosphere, interaction with Jupiter’s magnetosphere and surface composition.

This data will be used in the future in the preparation of the Europa Clipper mission, which is scheduled to start in 2024.
