
Facebook introduced a new line of smart glasses
(ORDO NEWS) — The American company Facebook has unveiled a new line of smart glasses that were developed jointly with EssilorLuxottica and Ray-Ban, according to a press release on the company’s website.
“We are pleased to present Ray-Ban Stories - smart glasses that will allow you to take photos and videos in a new way, share impressions, listen to music and make calls,” - said on Facebook.
The glasses will start at $ 299 and can be purchased online or in stores in the US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy and the UK.
The glasses are equipped with two cameras with a resolution of five megapixels, which allow you to take photos and record videos up to 30 seconds in length using the button or the voice assistant Facebook Assistant. In addition, the gadget has three microphones, a speaker and a light indicator that signals the shooting.
Thanks to synchronization with the new Facebook View app, users will be able to send footage directly to social networks and instant messengers, as well as save it to their phone for further editing.
