Elizabeth II compared the coronavirus pandemic to WWII

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain compared the coronavirus pandemic to World War II during an appeal to the nation on April 5.

“It reminds me of … 1940. We children spoke from here in Windsor with children who were evacuated from their homes,” said the 93-year-old queen.

Note that earlier comparisons of the pandemic with World War II were made by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Spanish authorities.
