The child was discovered by accident by a fisherman who was swimming nearby. He said that he heard the loud screams of a girl calling for help. The fisherman helped the child and then went to the police. She had been on a desert island for two days and was very cold. The girl was forced to make a fire in order to at least warm up a little.
The police took the child home and found there that her parents had deliberately sent her to the island for her bad behavior. They could not force their daughter to do household chores and study. After some time, the girl stopped attending school altogether, but at the same time she asked to eat all the time.
The parents felt that this method of upbringing would bring the proper result. They told the police that they had thought of every last detail and had given their daughter enough water and biscuits with them. The authorities considered this method of upbringing to be too extreme and advised other parents not to follow their example.
