Is it possible to find microgravity on Earth?

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — For the same reason that microgravity exists in orbit, it can also be found on Earth. We use airplanes to create microgravity, but only for short periods of time. The plane does this, flying along parabolas - up and down. At the top of the parabola, people and objects inside the aircraft are in free fall for about 20-30 seconds at a time.

Microgravity can also be experienced in free fall amusement parks or on a roller coaster, rolling down from the top. We also use towers to study microgravity. Objects are dumped using special equipment from the top of these tall towers, while experiencing free fall.
