(ORDO NEWS) — Google explained that Palestine is not on the company’s map because of the desire to objectively display the disputed areas.
“We remain neutral with regard to geopolitical disputes and are working hard to objectively display disputed areas on our maps using the dashed gray border line,” Google said.
The company clarified that it is using information from cartographic organizations and sources to make a decision on the designation of disputed territories.
Earlier, users noted that Palestine is displayed as the territory of Israel and other neighboring states.
At the same time, Palestine is shown on the maps of other Internet resources, for example, on Yandex.Maps.
